The “Alter” project draws on Laura Farneti’s photographic material collected during three years of activity of the Fuorimargine residency program, Spaziodanza’s project to support emerging authorship in contemporary dance, which took place at the Ex Manifattura Tabacchi and Parco Nervi, in Cagliari.
We imagined the book as another chapter of the Fuorimargine residencies, an ‘alter’ project where the succession of photographic images is as important as the ephemeral gesture of browsing, rotating, touching, weighing. An intimate book, with a small and light format. The weight of the paper, the size of the pages, the exposed binding, the letters debossed on the cover are suggestions that invite us to feel the content; the layout is the cue to observe the space from different points of view, following the movement of bodies interacting with heavy and disorienting architecture, in search of new meanings.
